Prestige Enterprise International offers a high quality acrylic product designed for outdoor use for tennis, badminton, basketball and other sports. The surface is very durable and holds up to cold and hot conditions very well. The top surface is specially designed to provide proper ball bounce in tennis and very good traction / friction for tennis, badminton, and basketball.
Our acrylic surface is recommended for installation over asphalt.
It is available in cushion and non-cushion formulas.
Below is some information on the cushion system.
Acrylic Surface Cushion System
The cushioning for our product is achieved by installing several layers of large and small rubber granules.
We recommend a 4-5 layer cushion system.
- The first 2 layers are done with large rubber granules (0.5mm – 1.5mm). This provides a good resilient surface.
- The final 2-3 layers of cushion are done with small rubber granules (0.5mm or smaller). The small rubber granules fill in the gaps in the large rubber layers and provide a uniform and smooth surface.
The rubber we use is a very durable but resilient compound, and will continue to provide an excellent "cushion" feeling for the life of the installation.
The cushion system is designed for tennis and basketball. We do not recommend that the client use the cushion system for rollerblading or roller skating. In addition, no cleated shoes, tables or bleachers should be used directly over the surface with Cushion. This will cause indentation and cracking of the surface. If tables and bleachers are to be used, plywood should be put down first.
